Senator Marsha Blackburn: Manchin And Schumer’s Reconciliation Bill Will Turbo Charge Inflation
Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to share her thoughts on why the the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 would be disastrous for the already struggling U.S. economy.
“We think it’s bad now? Wait until they pump another one and a half trillion dollars into the economy. Look at what they’re doing. They spent $300 billion yesterday through this CHIPS language. Now, in this CHIPS bill you’ve got $72 billion that is going to be grants and direct assistance to semiconductor manufacturers. And then you’ve got another $200 billion plus in authorization language, which means they can extend that money. They just didn’t spend it yesterday. And then, you look at what they’re planning to do with the PACT Act, which is something some of us that have worked on toxic exposure issues for veterans for years have tried to get done. But the Democrats have put it into a form that is not workable and the VA says they cannot implement. And so we’re trying to make it workable and have it be a promise fulfilled and not a false promise. And they’re looking at spending another $300 billion on that. And then, you look at what it’s going to cost for the deal that Manchin and Schumer have cooked up on energy. And then you look at what they’re going to spend on Obamacare subsidies and health care, which of course, is going to drive everyone closer to government controlled healthcare and kind of scoops up more people and puts them under the federal government control for health care.”
Plus, Senator Blackburn talks about the worsening fentanyl crisis in our country, and the impact it’s having on teenagers. To hear what else she had to say, listen to the podcast!
