Listen To The Full Interview Below:

Senator Mike Lee, United States Senator From Utah joined the Guy Benson Show to explain his reasoning for not supporting Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for the Supreme Court.

Senator Lee laid out his reasoning for not supporting Jackson saying,

“I really liked her as a person. I really think she has amazing academic qualifications, and her professional qualifications are impressive. The fact that she has clerked at all three levels of the US court system, including the Supreme Court, the fact that she has served as a judge on the District Court level at trial court and on the Circuit Court level and appellate court means that if she’s confirmed to this position, she will have served as a jurist on at all three levels of the federal judiciary. That’s somewhat unique and that will bring important perspective. I like those things about her and many others. I will be voting against her, however, based on concerns that I have about her jurists, her jurisprudence and her judicial philosophy, concerns that I can’t overcome concerns that are rooted in her own rulings and her own writings.”
