Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN): The NBA Is On The Wrong Side Of History For Choosing Profit Over Freedom
Listen To The Full Interview Below:
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) joined the Guy Benson Show to discuss outspoken NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom getting traded, then waived from the Huston Rockets. Many are speculating that Enes’s anti-China rhetoric may have caught up with him.
Senator Blackburn praised Kanter Freedom saying,
“The NBA made such a calculated choice in deciding they were going to kowtow to the Chinese Communist Party, and they really have turned a blind eye to the genocide, the oppression, the slave labor that is being carried out there. And they’ve done it by using the firing of Enes Kanter Freedom. And I really applaud him for how he has stood up and has stood on the side of freedom, stood on the side of the Chinese people and the Uyghur that are subject to this genocide. And the NBA is on the wrong side of history because they are choosing profit over freedom. They have now aligned themselves with the actions of the Chinese Communist Party. This is setting a very dangerous precedent.”
