Evening Edition: Will U.S.-Israeli Relations Be Strained By Consulate Reopening in Jerusalem?

President Biden will go forward with plans to reopen a consulate in Jerusalem that will handle Palestinian affairs, an embassy spokesperson told Fox News on Wednesday. The move reverses a decision by the Trump Administration and could be seen as very controversial for Israelis. Israeli government officials, who must approve a new consulate, have concerns that it could destabilize the newly formed government. FOX’s Trey Yingst speaks to Nir Barkat, Knesset member and former Mayor of Jerusalem, who feels the decision could damage U.S.-Israel relations,  and Mustafa Barghouti, a Senior Palestinian Official, who says the consulate should never have been closed.
