Listen To The Full Interview Below:
Dr. Manny Alvarez, Fox News contributor and senior health analyst joined Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson Show to discuss recent comments made by Dr. Fauci, claiming his critics are not only attacking him but attacking science. Dr. Manny also weighed in on growing threat the Indian covid-19 variant poses to unvaccinated Americans.
Dr. Manny Alvarez said,
“Fauci doesn’t see patients. He doesn’t touch a patient. I would argue that he hasn’t touched patients in decades. He’s a bureaucrat that sits behind a desk and has a beautiful driver. And he’s very well connected with, the all the bureaucracy of Washington, D.C. So he doesn’t understand why patients sometimes get confused. He doesn’t understand that patients ask questions that should not be interpreted as a an assassination of character to the doctor. You know, he almost sounds like the doctors of the 1950s and 40s. How dare you question my decision? I know what’s best for you. And we know that that dialog has been completely erased from health care today. As it as a matter of fact, you know, we teach our medical students, residents, everybody are nurses, that the patient interaction and asking questions is one of the most important tools that we have in the health care system. So this is a perfect example of an individual who really doesn’t deal with patients and finds that any kind of question and criticism. I don’t understand what you said, sir. How come you change your mind? It’s an attack on science and on himself.”
