On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Senior Adviser to the America First Policy Institute & former White House Deputy Press Secretary Brian Morgenstern described what it was like trying to manage all the opinions of the members of the Coronavirus Task Force, especially when it seemed Dr. Anthony Fauci was at odds with President Trump.
“There were moments there, and he was called out publicly for it, when it seemed an awful lot like he was cheering for the Biden team in terms of the guidance that was going out to the American people. It was a challenge to keep everyone on the Task Force kind of together because they had different opinions about different things. They’re all experts in different fields and they all kind of have their different teams of people. At times, it was sort of a gang of rivals, and keeping everybody on the same page so that the American people were getting consistent advice that wasn’t conflicting or confusing, was an awfully difficult challenge. In terms of the campaign dynamic, you’re seeing now that a lot of the American people are seeing Dr. Fauci and maybe some others out there giving advice that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to people. And they think conditions have improved dramatically. They have because of Operation Warp Speed and all the vaccines and the progress we’ve made.”
