Fox News Medical Correspondent Dr. Marc Siegel & author of “COVID: The Politics of Fear and the Power of Science” joined Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson Show to discuss the decision by the FDA and CDC to recommend a pause in use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr. Marc Siegel said,
“So the problem now is that the way this was messaged yesterday sends the message to people that it’s not safe or it may not be or we’re investigating it. And in the meantime, if you have got a headache, all of that is is really inappropriate messaging for something that affects six people, as far as we know, out of six million or seven, seven point two million.”
Dr. Siegel added,
“We’re forced as a country to go through each and every case of possible vaccine side effect, and that’s correct, but it’s over vigilent because of the anti vaxers. Now along comes something with six people that may actually be linked and the whole vaccine is in trouble. It’s just it’s so tragic.”
