Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) Blasts Pelosi For Saying U.S. Is On ‘Good Path’ At Southern Border Despite Massive Surge In Encounters

Congressman Chip Roy, Representative for Texas’ 21st Congressional District joined Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson Show and slammed Speaker Nancy Pelosi over comments that the U.S. is on a ‘Good Path’ at the Southern Border ‘Under President Biden’s Leadership. Newly released numbers show that border officials encountered 172,000 migrants at the border in March, a 71% increase from February.

Rep. Chip Roy blasted the remarks saying,

“Well, that is absolute insanity. And let me try to say this. I really mean this in a nonpartisan way. OK, that is classic Washington speak that is completely devoid of reality, of what’s happening on the ground. You said it before. We had one hundred and seventy one one hundred seventy two thousand apprehensions in March. That does not account, as you point out, of the got aways and the got aways are your most dangerous people between ports of entry. But this is actually very dramatically worse. We have eight facilities that are packed to the gills right now, processing facilities that are overrun.”
