Why Shannon Bream’s “Women Of The Bible” Resonates So Much in 2021

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, “Fox News @ Night” anchor Shannon Bream talked about her new book “The Women of the Bible Speak: The Wisdom of 16 Women and Their Lessons for Today” and why the issues those women faced resonate as much today as they did then.

“Some of these problems are timeless. You think about women in the Bible or dealing with family problems, sibling rivalries, serious stuff like infertility and widowhood, financial ruin, chronic illness. All of those things are things, especially in the last year, a lot of people have faced some really tough burdens. So looking at the problems and seeing, OK, these are not new. These are things that people have struggled with since the beginning of recorded time. And knowing that God was there, he was working through these stories. I love too we included women who got a little bit off the track and made some bad decisions. I think it’s good to know. Listen, we all do that. We all get off track at some point. But you can put your life back together. There can be redemption and beauty in that. And these stories are not of flawless women. They’re human beings like the rest of us. And I think there’s a lot we can pull from their lives for today.”
