Ken Cuccinelli: The “Embarrassed” Biden Administration Is Hiding What They Are Doing At The Border
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Heritage Foundation Visiting Fellow and former DHS Acting Secretary Ken Cuccinelli talks about how the Biden administration’s immigration policy ties into getting more votes for the Democratic party and why President Biden should be embarrassed by crisis at the border.
“They kind of feel like they’re just going to hunker down and and grin and bear it through the criticism to get their strategic advantage, that being appeasing the radical left and bringing in people who they will then give amnesty to, their two amnesty bills they have rolling through. They even have a couple of Republicans that might support some of this amnesty. And with H.R.1, they’re going to register them all to vote through our states with mandates that they order the states through things like DMV and where they provide welfare and so forth, and they all have to register everyone to vote. And of course, they can’t technically, legally vote. But if you’re in the system they’re ordering the states to set up, they will will automatically sweep them in. So that’s the result. So they view this as a long-term, vote-getting operation. That’s what’s going on here. And it’s why they’re willing to take so much heat because they feel like they’re getting so many votes in the long term.”
“We do try to talk about these things on the substance, we try to point out what’s actually going on. We don’t play their game and be inaccurate and untruthful about describing any particular situation where policy comes to bear like immigration. We have to say what’s happening. We can disagree about why. But for instance, for the Biden administration to hide the numbers, to not let press into the facilities, again, unimaginable when we were running DHS, they would have gone berserk. And they’re hiding what they’re doing. I mean, that’s what’s going on here. There are more children in CBP facilities now than ever before, which is something they’re embarrassed about, but that’s one natural effect of the Biden effect. You know, when you’ve invited whole countries to come here illegally and not respect our laws, this is what you end up with. And this is only two months in. Unbelievable.”
