Georgia Governor, Brian Kemp, joined FOX News Radio’s Guy Benson Show to weighed in on the current COVID relief negotiations going on in Washington. Governor kemp (R-CA) sounded off saying that the Democrat’s COVID relief bill is a bailout for blue states like NY, CA, and IL who have mismanaged their states during the pandemic.

Gov. Kemp sounded off saying,

“It’s kind of outrageous, quite honestly, that states are being penalized for having a good economy or low unemployment. Meanwhile, the states that don’t have a strong economy are getting a bailout. It doesn’t make much sense to me. Very frustrating. We’re going to be working through our congressional delegation and letting others know that this is just bad policy.”

Gov. Kemp added,

“The problems that they’re trying to fix in some of these states like California, New York, or Illinois are issues unrelated to COVID. As a small business owner for 30 years, I’ve been through ups and downs in the economy. There were times when the people working on my construction sites had more money in their pocket than I had in my bank account. As Governor, I cannot go out and tell those folks, “hey, keep working, pay your federal taxes” – but then send the COVID relief to other states due to poor performance. That’s just not something I’m willing to do. I don’t think that’s fair to our taxpayers here in the great state of Georgia and in many states around the country, quite honestly.”
