Listen To The Full Interview Below:
On today’s Guy Benson Show, Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) spoke about the need to get kids back into the classroom despite covid concerns citing medical science and precautions.
Senator Bill Cassidy said,
“So the medical science says that you can go back to school safely and if you pack practice precautions, you’re not at increased risk. That the cases of transmission occur because people bring it to the school, not that they communicated among themselves.”
Senator Cassidy added,
“We relax our guard when we are with friends, not recognizing we can get it from them. But we’re on guard appropriately when we’re in the school. And evidence shows that when kids go to school in places like Canada, I mentioned Canada because it’s always cold in Canada. People are always kind of, you know, the windows are shut sort of thing. They don’t get covid, but as long as they do precautions. So it’s true in Europe, it’s been true in the United States. Parochial schools have opened, charter schools have opened. You know, if your business model is you don’t get paid unless you’re open, by golly, they open. If your business model is, you’re going to get paid whether you show up or not. It seems to be the teacher unions are saying we’re not going to open.”
