Rep. James Comer (R-KY): The Mayor Has Made Washington DC “Unwelcome For The Conservatives Of America”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Rep. James Comer (R-KY) talks about the two letters he composed with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) which call for investigations into the 2020 Election and the way supporters of President Trump were attacked during a pro-Trump rally in Washington, DC.
“We think Democrats should do their jobs, but they’re hiding out. If they were confident that no instances of election fraud or irregularities would come out of this hearing, don’t you think they would have the hearing to make Jim Jordan look bad, to make the Republicans look bad? But they know, they know what’s happened out there. They watch and see what’s going on in Georgia, and they don’t want that to come to light. Their investigations only applied to Donald Trump. Now that they’ve clearly taken advantage of COVID and the universal mail-in ballots and utilized inaccurate voter rolls in certain states.”
“There’s clearly a pattern of this mayor in Washington, D.C. and her police force turning a blind eye when conservatives come to Washington, D.C. to peacefully assemble to protest. And that’s a terrible example to set. Washington, D.C. should be leading the world in setting the example of how to gather, assemble and peacefully protest. It’s our constitutional rights. And yet she wants, in my opinion, and she’s more than welcome to come to a committee hearing and prove me wrong. She wants to make Washington, D.C. unwelcome for Trump voters and for the conservatives of America, because as you mentioned earlier, the media and the liberals, which have indoctrinated in this town, they have looked down at the people like me and the people in my district.”
