Jonah Goldberg, Editor in chief of The Dispatch.com spoke with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson about President Trump tweeting he will halt negotiations with democratic leadership over covid relief until after the election. Goldberg weighed in on the move saying,

“I am sure Nancy Pelosi is behaving in bad faith or appears to be behaving in bad faith. That would make sense to me politically. But just taking a step back. I think it is in. It is political malpractise. What Trump is doing. I think my suspicion is, is that he thinks that he can promise something after the election and convince people that they’re voting for a really great stimulus thing of only they reelect him. But that’s not how it’s going. I don’t think that’s how it’s going to play out. The only people are going to be find that particularly persuasive are people who are already voting for him. And he doesn’t have enough people who are already voting for him. And maybe he’s trying also, which is a tried and true. Are at least Tried repeatedly technique of his, which is to change the subject. And on the day that the Joint Chiefs of Staff are being quarantined from covid and the day after he gets back from Walter Reed, he wants to make the argument about something other than covid stuff.”
