Trump Campaign: On Race, “Joe Biden Is Saying The Quiet Parts Out Loud”

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Trump 2020 Director of Press Communications Erin Perrine discussed how the Republican party can appeal to more African American voters than the Joe Biden campaign, especially after speeches given by Hershel Walker and Sen. Tim Scott.

“Our largest coalition on the campaign is our Black Voices for Trump coalition. We have Black Voices community centers across the country where we are putting hard dollar investments into these communities and having conversations in brick and mortar locations across the country about what this President has done because he has an exceptional message and facts that he has delivered on for Black Americans. Record low unemployment before the Coronavirus, last month, we saw unemployment for Black Americans drop a almost a full percentage point. Whether it’s historic funding for historically Black colleges and universities, opportunity zones, things that people have talked about that they never thought could be done, like criminal justice reform, where ninety percent of those who were released were Black Americans who are now getting a second chance at the American dream because of President Trump. It’s an incredible record to be able to run on. And it’s one that we know is resonating in the Black community. Look at the way Joe Biden is behaving. He’s spending campaign dollar, general election dollars, on Black media. Why? Because he knows that Black Americans are not supporting him the way the Democrats historically have seen. And that’s why you hear Joe Biden say things like, ‘If you’re not voting for me, you ain’t black.’ Joe Biden is saying the quiet part he’s always thought out loud.”
