Judge Napolitano: Barr/Capitol Hill Hearing “Was A Waste Of Time”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano explained why he thought the House Judiciary Committee hearing with Attorney General William Barr was “a waste of time.”
“I have been harshly critical of all of these hearings where the purpose is for one side to beat up a witness from the party of the other side. Barr is an adult, I disagree with him on many things, but let’s put that aside. But he’s an adult and he just knows that this is part of the job. The Republicans did it to Eric Holder, and they did it to Janet Reno. I think it’s a waste of time. If you want to do it right, hire professional cross examiners, professional questioners. Jerry Nadler is a politician who happens to be a lawyer. He’s not a cross examiner. And many of these questions didn’t give him a chance to answer. And many of the questions weren’t questions, they were speeches.”
