: Karl Rove Former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush, Wall Street Journal Columnist and Fox News Contributor spoke with Fox News Radio's Guy Benson about where the 2020 race stands 99 days out from election day. Rove said,
"Well, at the moment, Joe Biden is ahead and he's ahead by a margin that would point to a big electoral victory. But we're ninety nine days out in the oddest election of our lifetime. And much like Michael Dukakis, who led by a big number of points in late July and then lost the campaign. There's also that possibility for Mr. Biden. I don't know what's going to happen, but I think the race is going to tighten."
Rove also said,
"The president needs to set the tone. The president needs to recognize he needs to set the tone for this. So when he thinks about things, should I attack Bubba Wallace or should I attack Tammy Duckworth and by implication, Joe Biden choose the latter, not the former. Now, the people around him need to give him ideas about this. They need to be quick to jump on these opportunities. And look, I get some stuff from the from their press shop or their factsheet. Some of them are pretty darn good."
