Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) I’m “Very Disappointed” That RNC Convention Is Moving To Jacksonville

Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) spoke with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson about the decision to move the 2020 Republican National Convention from Charlotte North Carolina to Jacksonville Florida. Saying, “Well, I’m obviously very disappointed about the convention moving down to Jacksonville.” Senator Tillis continued by saying,

“We were prepared to have a very powerful, well orchestrated convention that we’d been planning for intensely and implementing over the past several months. But that is in large part because we really couldn’t get the governor to come to town. The governor is clearly come to terms with having thousands of people come out and protest, most of them largely peaceful. But for some reason, we couldn’t come to terms with the governor on having the convention here in North Carolina. My my heart just breaks for the businesses. This was a wonderful opportunity for Charlotte to advance its economic recovery. And now it’s going to be an opportunity missed. And I’m very disappointed.”
