Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX): “No, We Don’t Defund The Police”
Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) talking with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson about lifting lock down orders so small business can start to reopen. Congressman Roy also touched on the issue of George Floyd’s death and the push to “Defund the Police”. Saying,
“Two weeks ago today, George Floyd lost his life. He lost his life because a cop was a bully and took his life because he was using tactics that were inappropriate and he was doing it in a way that harmed this man’s life. That man is in court today under our system of justice. Justice is sought. One case at a time. This man is facing murder charges in court today. That is a good thing. And we need the justice system to play itself out. But we need to have common sense prevail here. No, we don’t. Defund the police. No, we don’t walk away from law and order. Yes, we protect civil liberties. Yes, we fight this stuff. One case at a time.”
