The US leads the world in coronavirus cases and is on pace to hit 200,000. One of the hardest hit states is Louisiana. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) joins the Rundown to discuss to the outbreak, the effectiveness of social distancing guidelines and the possibility of another stimulus bill.

The FDA issued a limited, use-authorization for antimalarial drugs, chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, to be used to fight Covid-19. Dr. Katie Passaretti, Medical Director for infection prevention at Atrium Health weighs in on the two drugs. She also discusses the lack of protective personal equipment in hospitals, whether the virus could reappear in the fall and how we Americans should prepare.
