President Trump has told the Secretary of State to delay a planned trip to North Korea.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo planned to travel to North Korea next week, along with a newly named special envoy to the country.
But, President Trump tweets he has directed Pompeo not to go at this point because enough progress has not been made on denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.
In the series of tweets, President Trump blames China for not helping as they once did because of a tougher U.S. trade stance, but adds once the trade relationship is resolved, Pompeo looks forward to going to North Korea.
The President also sent warm regards to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, writing I look forward to seeing him soon.
