Syria, After ISIS Lost Their Capital
The Syrian city of Raqqa was liberated from ISIS fighters on October 17th ending a months long siege which was a huge blow for ISIS, which has steadily lost territory in Iraq and Syria, including Iraq’s second largest city of Mosul. That victory could mark a turning point in the ongoing civil war but the people of Syria have much more to deal with. FOX’s Eric Shawn spoke with Bassam Rifai, who is currently serving as a government relations board member for the Syrian American Council and is also the director of public affairs at SCM Medical, an NGO that provides medical and humanitarian aid to refugees.
