Republican Leaders Pull the Plug on Healthcare Overhaul

Republican leaders pull the plug on a last-ditch healthcare overhaul.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

The latest proposal to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act will not get a Senate vote this week, but the bill’s co-author, Senator Lindsey Graham says the debate isn’t over:

(Graham) “We’re coming back to this after taxes. We’re gonna have time to explain our concept. We’ll have a better process and we’re gonna take this show on the road.”

For now, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the Senate is turning it’s attention to tax reform and a budget resolution next week.

The Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill hit a major roadblock yesterday when Maine’s Susan Collins became the third Republican to officially announce a no vote.
