President Trump Tweets He’s “Proud of NASCAR and Its Supporters”
President Trump commenting on Twitter about last night’s (Sunday’s) national anthem protests at NFL games across the nation. The NFL standing by their players despite the President’s comments and outrage from some fans.

NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart said the league hopes players stand during the national anthem:
(Lockhart) “But we also respect their right to make a personal statement about their personal beliefs.”
More players expected to protest at tonight’s Dallas-Phoenix game.
The President on Twitter praising NASCAR team owners who supported the President’s comments regarding those players who chose to sit or kneel during the national anthem.
So proud of NASCAR and its supporters and fans. They won’t put up with disrespecting our Country or our Flag – they said it loud and clear!
