Taylor Swift is Facing a Lawsuit over Hit Song

Taylor Swift is facing a lawsuit over lyrics to one of her hit songs.

FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:

Same lyrics different song. A copyright lawsuit was filed against Taylor Swift over two lines in her hit song ‘Shake It Off.’ The complaint filed in U.S. district court, by plaintiffs Sean Hall and Nathan Butler, who co-wrote the 3LW song “Playas Gon’ Play,” claims, the song copies and includes plaintiff’s lyrics…

The lawsuit states that the copyrighted material accounts for roughly 20 percent of ‘Shake It Off.’ Hall and Butler co-authored the song, but it was recorded by girl group 3LW and released to the public in May of 2001.
