A man is dead  after allegedly being mistaken for a wild hog.

FOX's Lilan Woo reports:

A 40-year-old South Carolina man was out hunting wild hogs when he was shot to death himself by another hog hunter.

The Anderson County Deputy Coroner saying Kenneth Young was kneeling or probably down on all fours when the other person likely mistook him for a hog and that she was using a thermal scope which has recording capabilities. Investigators saying the fatal shot was recorded on an SD card.

All the hunters had permission to be on the private hunting grounds. Authorities saying the female hunter who was with another person was clearly upset and did not know Mr. Young. No foul play at this time but the case remains under investigation.
