Jennifer Lawrence: People Arguing over ‘Mother!’ is Music to Our Ears

FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin talks with Javier Bardem and Jennifer Lawrence about… ‘Mother!’

That’s in today’s “FOX Celebrity Profile”:

I was at Radio City Music Hall in New York City where the premier of ‘Mother!’ brought Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem and their director Darren Aronofsky to town to discuss their new psychological horror thriller, which is already a conversation starter:

(Lawrence) “That’s what we love about the movie. I mean people arguing over the movie is music to our ears. But we’re creating a conversation that we feel like is really important. Taking care of our planet and respecting each other and taking care of our home.”

As for how their director is feeling as his film is about to debut:

(Aronofsky) “I think it is really scary. People are definitely having the reaction I thought they would. All the rest of this is just kudos.”

And considering the strong opinions about the film, do they think it would make a good first-date movie?

(Lawrence) “I actually think it would because it’s a hell of a conversation piece and you’ll learn about the person.”

(Bardem) “You are obliged to sit down and see what the other person thinks about what she or he has saw. Of course it’s a great first date movie.”
