YouTuber PewDiePie in hot water again for using a racial slur. The Swedish Gamer, real name Felix Kjellberg, in PlayerUnknowns Battleground using the derogatory term to describe an online opponent. The developer of ‘Firewatch’ has threatened to pull usage of his game.
We’re filing a DMCA takedown of PewDiePie’s Firewatch content and any future Campo Santo games.
It comes after a video surfaced of PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjellberg, on a YouTube gaming stream playing PlayerUnknown’s ‘Battlegrounds.’ Several gamers captured the clip and uploaded it to their personal YouTube accounts. It also got wide attention this morning on the NeoGAF forums.
This isn’t the first time for the social media star… He has been accused of anti-semitism before for using Nazi themes as jokes. He issued an apology on his YouTube account.
