FOX News Poll: Voters Feel Safer, But Fear Terror Attack is Likely to Happen Soon

Most voters feel a deadly terrorist attack in the country is very likely to happen soon, according to the latest FOX News poll.

    FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal has more:

71 percent of voters feel a terrorist attack is very likely to occur inside the U.S. in the near future, according to the FOX News Poll. But that fear has decreased compared to last year, and decreased even further compared to 2003.

More Americans also feel safer now than they did last year by about eight points points. 47 percent of Americans say the country feels safer now than before 9/11.

But feelings of safety do appear to break down along party lines. 65 percent of Republicans feel safer now. Just 29 percent of Democrats do. And last year that was flipped, 52 percent of Democrats felt safer, compared to just 25 percent of Republicans.
