President Donald Trump appearing to change course on DACA in a morning tweet.
FOX’s Jon Decker explains from Washington D.C.:
Just two days after rescinding the DACA program, the President taking to Twitter, writing:
For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about – No action!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 7, 2017
Scrapping DACA, which started in 2012 under President Obama, could affect roughly 800,000 young people registered under the program. It gives the immigrants a two-year period of protection from deportation and allows them to work in the U.S.
15 states and the District of Columbia have sued the government to block President Trump’s plan to end DACA.
