Board Grants Parole to Manson Follower

California’s parole board has granted the youngest Manson family murderer parole.. again.

    FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal explains:

Leslie Van Houten appeared before the California parole board for the 21st time and she was granted parole…again.

The last time she was granted parole Governor Jerry Brown denied it. Van Houten wasn’t part of the 1969 Manson family murders of five people including pregnant actress Sharon Tate, but she did participate in the stabbing deaths of Rosemary and Leno Labianca the next night.

While she’s been a model prisoner for over 40 years and told the board she’s deeply ashamed of the murders, Governor Brown said her crime left a lasting mark on society that its equally disturbing the murders were meant to start a race war.
