Another State Reacting to President Trump Never Releasing His Tax Returns
Massachusetts is joining other states reacting to President Trump never releasing his tax returns.
FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:
President Trump never released his tax returns while running, still hasn’t and isn’t required to. But lawmakers in Massachusetts will hold a hearing this week on a bill to force presidential candidates to release three years worth of federal tax returns if they want to be on primary ballots.
It might even be a question for voters to decide on a statewide ballot. Similar plans emerged in other states, but Hawaii’s attorney general raised legal concerns and New Jersey’s governor vetoed a bill, calling it unconstitutional.
Critics note the Constitution only requires a President to be at least 35, born in the U.S. and a resident here at least 14 years.
