A Costly Tattoo for One 12-Year-Old in Georgia

A tattoo on a 12-year-old girl leads to charges in Georgia.

    FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:

It was a cross with the words “Jesus Loves” that school officials in Coweta County, Georgia spotted on a 12-year-old girl that led to the arrest of the girls’ mother 35-year-old Emma Nolan and tattoo artist Brenda Gaddy, who investigators say inked three minors at a recent party.

It’s against the law to tattoo the body of a person under 18. Coweta County Sheriff’s office Lt. Jason Fetner telling WXIA Atlanta:

(Fetner) “I think it’s unfortunate in that the child actually wanted to get the tattoo. I think it really comes down to bad parenting.”

Nolan and Gaddy face misdemeanor charges. The girl has been placed in a home with relatives.
