Democrats are blasting President Trump for threatening to shut down the government over funding for a southern border wall.

FOX's Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi says the President is threatening to "cause chaos in the lives of millions of Americans if he doesn't get his way" on border funding. The House has approved a $1.6-billion down-payment for the wall, but its fate is uncertain in the Senate.

The top Democrat in the upper chamber, Chuck Schumer, released a statement saying, "If the President pursues this path, against the wishes of both Republicans and Democrats, as well as the majority of the American people, he will be heading towards a government shutdown which nobody will like".
