Bannon Booted!… Steve Bannon Out as White House Chief Strategist
President Trump has removed Steve Bannon from his White House Chief Strategist position.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
President Trump’s Chief Strategist Steve Bannon will leave the White House.
Bannon, who served as chairman of the Trump Presidential Campaign, had butted heads with a number of senior White House aides, including newly-installed Chief of Staff retired General John Kelly.
Earlier this week Bannon gave on the record interviews to publications including the New York Times, where he defended President Trump’s controversial comments in the fallout from the white supremacy march in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Bannon’s exit follows the recent departure of Reince Preibus as Chief of Staff, Sean Spicer as Press Secretary and Anthony Scaramucci as Communications Director.
