A song that is nothing but silence is rising to the top of the charts.

FOX's Michelle Pollino reports:

This song is climbing the charts...

You don't need to adjust the volume, the song is completely silent and it costs 99 cents for just under 10 minutes of dead air. It found its way on the top 50 on the iTunes charts, alongside Ed Sheeran and Keith Urban.

It wasn't made for fun, according to creator Samir Mezrahi, it had a purpose. When people plug smartphones into a car, usually the first song alphabetically plays by default, it's annoying. So Mezrahi made "A a a a a Very Good Song" to give people some time to get situated and pick what songs they want to hear or maybe just listen.
