State Department on North Korea: Everyone’s on the Same Page

More stern words for North Korea. The Defense Secretary warning that Pyongyang would be “grossly outmatched” by the U.S. military. But the Secretary of State seems to be taking a more diplomatic approach.

FOX’s Malini Wilkes reports from Washington:

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is being far more measured with his words than President Trump with his warning Tuesday of “fire and fury.”

Tillerson emphasizing what he calls an active and ongoing diplomatic effort to address tensions with North Korea.

State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert insists Tillerson’s message is consistent with the President’s:

(Nauert) “The United States is on the same page, whether it’s the White House, the State Department, the Department of Defense, we are speaking with one voice.”

Nauert says a pressure campaign of international sanctions against the North is working.
