U.S. officials are trying to tighten the screws on North Korea.
FOX's Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says there's no daylight between Washington and its partners assessments that North Korea must abandon its nuclear weapons program.
And says the U.S. will monitor carefully enforcement of a new sanctions package approved at the United Nations.
The sanctions are intended to cut off about a billion dollars worth of North Korea's exports and bans the import of coal, iron, lead and seafood.
U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley calls the sanctions a kick in the gut to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
