High-Tech Changes at VA will “Expand Access to Care for Our Veterans” – President Trump
Making access to health services easier for veterans? President Trump says there’s an app for that.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
President Trump is touting a new program to expand veterans’ access to telehealth services around the country, which includes a new app that will let veterans make health care appointments from their cellphones:
(President Trump) “This will significantly expand access to care for our veterans, especially for those who need help in the area of mental health, which is a bigger and bigger request.”
VA Secretary David Shulkin said that about 700,000 veterans used telehealth services last year.
That number is expected to increase over time.
