Congressman Steve Scalise has been discharged from the hospital.

Six weeks after being shot at a baseball practice field in Virginia, congressman Steve Scalise is out of the hospital.
The house majority whip was released yesterday from MedStar Washington Hospital Center and has started inpatient rehabilitation.
In a statement, the hospital says he is in good spirits and looks forward to returning to work when his rehab is finished.
Scalise was shot by an Illinois man who was killed in a shootout with officers during the incident.
