Linkin Park: “Hearts are Broken” over Chester Bennington’s Death

Chester Bennington’s Linkin Park bandmates speak out following the singer’s death.

FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:

Following Chester Bennington’s death last week, Linkin Park released a statement, saying their “hearts are broken.” The 41-year-old singer, hanged himself from a bedroom door in his home near Los Angeles. The band actually started the statement by addressing the singer himself, saying, “Dear Chester.”

It went on to really speak to Chester as well as fans, saying, “you touched so many lives, maybe even more than you realized.”

Billboard.com also reported that Linkin Park’s music sales soared more than 5,000 % following Bennington’s passing. The statement comes a day after they set up a suicide-prevention web page in his honor.
