O.J. Simpson Granted Parole
O.J. Simpson will be out of prison after being granted parole and he plans to head to Florida.
FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal reports from Lovelock Correctional Facility in Nevada:
It’s now up to officials in Florida, to okay O.J. Simpson’s plan to head there after he gets out of prison. Supervision and his family’s support system will be crucial. Some of his children live in Florida.
During the hearing Simpson was asked what he would do upon release:
(Simpson) “Right now I’m at a point in my life where all I want to do is spend as much time as I can with my children and my friends and I’m not looking to be involved with the media.”
Though his attorney read a letter in which Simpson wrote to a former attorney that he may on day have a blog or webcast. The earlier day he can get out is Oct. 1.
One of the sports memorabilia dealers he robbed testified, said he forgave Simpson and that if he needed a ride from prison when he gets out, he’d pick him up.
