Paul Pierce Retires a Celtic
An NBA star officially calls it quits.

Plays like that were common during Paul Pierce’s 15 years with the Celtics. The 10-time All-Star small forward announcing last season would be his final in the NBA, but Monday, he confirmed his retirement, signing a one-day deal with Boston to retire a Celtic.
Pierce leaving the association after 19 seasons. One NBA title with the Celtics in 2008 for which he also was named Finals MVP and at 15th all-time in points in the NBA.
