Health Care Bill on Hold
No action after all this week on a Senate health care bill.
FOX’s Jared Halpern has more on Capitol Hill:
A Senate Republican health care bill needs every vote it can get to survive and with Arizona Republican John McCain at home resting after a surgery to remove a blood clot over his eye, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell postponed any vote on the latest ObamaCare repeal and replace measure.
A revised bill already has two Republican opponents, one more and GOP leaders won’t be able to secure enough votes to even debate the bill.
That’s why McCain’s absence has delayed a procedural vote that was expected later this week.
