President Trump’s FBI Nominee Impresses Senate Hearing

The President’s nominee for FBI director is getting a lot of questions about Russia at his Senate confirmation hearing.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Christopher Wray is winning bipartisan praise for an independent streak he’s promising to bring to the FBI:

(Wray) “No one asked me for any kind of loyalty oath at any point during this process and I sure as heck didn’t offer one.”

Wray also telling the Senate Judiciary Committee he has no reason to doubt intelligence agency assessents Russia was behind election-related hacking and does not think an investigation a witch hunt:

(Feinstein) “There’s no question but that he is qualified. he has the background.”

The top Democrat Diane Feinstein says she’ll vote yes on confirmation.
