‘SUMMERTIME BLUES’… Senate Will Spend More time in D.C. in August

The Senate will spend more time in Washington D.C. this August.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell still plans to set up a vote on a health care bill next week, but blames Democrats for a long-to-do-list:

(McConnell) “Don’t have enough time to address all these issues between now and the originally anticipated August recess.”

So, the Senate will be in session the first two weeks of August, McConnell says to work on a debt limit solution, authorization bills and presidential nominations.

Democratic leader Chuck Schumer in response, said if he was them, he wouldn’t want to go home and face voters either.
