Phone Apps for the Fourth of July

What phone apps will come in handy this July 4th?

FOX’s Brett Larson fills you in:

When it comes to making the most of your 4th of July holiday, there’s an app for that. You can get some help around the grill with the ‘Weber’ app. The free app has over 50 tips and tricks to make you the grill master of any backyard BBQ.

If you’re skipping the back yard BBQ in favor of a stop at a local watering hole, check out ‘Drink Advisor.’ Also free, it will point you in the right direction of nearby events.

Getting around town, if you haven’t already, download ‘Waze.’ The popular mapping app will get you around traffic jams or to area’s your unfamiliar with. ‘Waze’ also has fun celebrity voices for turn-by-turn directions.

Wanna skip the drive home altogether? Check out ‘Hotel Tonight.’ The app will help you find nearby and discounted hotel rooms available, as the name suggests, tonight.

Check the forecast for your fireworks show with ‘Dark Sky.’ The weather app not only pulls in satellite maps, it also sources barometric pressure from other users to give you a good idea of when it might rain.
