Report: Facebook’s Shopping Around for Original Programming Content

Could Facebook be trying to start their own Netflix-style service?

    FOX’s Jim MacKay has more:

Mark Zuckerberg is looking towards Hollywood for the next innovation for his social media empire. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Facebook is shopping around for original programming and they could be offering as much as $3 million per episode.

The report also says Facebook is looking for specific programming to reach audiences between the ages of 13 and 34 and they’re trying to keep it away from politics… Will it be like a Netflix or an Amazon Prime? That remains to be seen. They could have something in the works later this summer. Facebook has yet to comment.
