No Director for Hans Solo Movie

The force is no longer with the directors of a ‘Star Wars’ spin off.

FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:

The stand alone Hans Solo project is looking for new directors following a shakeup that sent tremors through Hollywood Wednesday.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said the ‘Star Wars’ spin-off is parting ways with directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller due to creative differences.

Lord and Miller had been filming since January 2017 with stars Alden Ehrenreich as the young Hans Solo and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.

The supporting cast included Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke and Thandie Newton. They released this statement, “We normally aren’t fans of the phrase ‘creative differences,’ but for once this cliche is true.” Ron Howard has emerged as front-runner.
