FBI: “No Nexus to Terrorism” in Congressional Baseball Shooting

There are new details about the gunman who attacked members of Congress on a wide-open field last week.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

James Tom Hodskinson was a man with a plan when he went to a baseball field outside Washington and opened fire. Andrew Vale with the FBI Washington Field office says the 66-year-old, living out of van, acted alone.

(Vale) “There was no nexus to terrorism. The FBI is investigating this shooting as an assault on a member of Congress and an assault on a federal officer.”

The FBI says Hodgkinson was carrying around a list of names, members of Congress. Officials aren’t saying who those members were.

Congressman Scalise has been upgraded to serious condition and he’s reportedly talking and texting.
